This is a patriotic American advertising poster from World War II created by the United States government. This poster features bold typography that frames the central illustration of the poster: The face of a smiling man looking out beyond the poster. Next to this image it reads in navy blue lettering, “Thanks, for buying that bond,” and below in white lettering, “Buy a bond in September to honor every mother’s son in service.” This is a lovely poster that features a patriotic color scheme, which was created by the American government to encourage participation in the ongoing war effort.
