Out of stock
This is a French Art Deco period advertising poster for the 28th Gymnastics Competition for the south-east region of France on the 20th through 22nd of July, 1928. This is a brightly colored image that features a vibrantly bold red background. In the center of the red there is a round opening that shows the outline of a city in turquoise and yellow. In the foreground of the poster there is a man on the parallel bars, legs extended up into the sky, with his head up, one arm extended outwards, and the other holding onto a bar. The skin tones of his arm and face complement the colors of the scene in the middle, and his white clothing pop out from the background, creating an almost three dimensional image.
This vintage lithograph was printed by Coqueugniot, 1928.
