This is a spectacular Swiss Mid-Century Modern design poster by Donald Brun for a brand of over the counter pain medicine, Contre Douleurs, circa 1950. It is a boldly, multi-colored bottle that pops out from a striking, aggressively black background. Brun utilizes a combination of lines and shapes with colors to create a simple but impressive image.
This lithographic advertisement was printed by Wassermann S.A., Bail for D.R. Wild & Ci in 1950.
