French Festival Poster for ‘Fete de Levallois’ by Paolo Henri, 1902

Festival in the Northern Suburbs of Paris (Levallois). It was celebrated from the 3rd of August, until the 17th of August in 1902.
The poster shows young women riding the merry-go-round (notice the pig)
Main woman has red hair, blue stockings, orange dress, while another young lady behind her is wearing a blue dress with a blue hat while the crowd cheers looking amused. The man in the foreground is wearing a yellow hat and rocking a large mustache.
The poster is filled with balloons, tents, and more festivals.

Levallois-Perret is the most densely populated town in all of Europe. In the 19th century, large finds of flint tools in the town (then a village) lead archaeologists to name a distinctive type of stone knapping ‘Levallois’ after the town.
