During Christmas of 1949, Pope Pius XII composed a prayer and broadcasted worldwide annunciated the year’s goals for 1950: spiritual cleansing & renewal, world peace, concern for the downtrodden, & the poor – and forgiveness.
This poster signifies the 1950 pilgrimage to Rome, and was meant to be a Pius return of Christians to Rome, as well as to special places and shrines.
